Cookies and Server Log files

Each time you visit our website, we use so-called cookies, i.e. small text files which are stored in your browser and are retained until you close all browser windows. These cookies are used for the technical delivery of our website and to ensure system security. We have an overriding, legitimate interest in this in order to present our offer to you (Art. 6. 1. (f) EU GDPR). If you do not wish to use cookies, you can block the use of cookies in your browser settings; you can also influence the use of cookies on your devices via the United States site http://www.aboutads.info/choices/ or the EU site http://www.youronlinechoices.com/uk/your-ad-choices/. You can still visit our website even if you block cookies, but you will not be able to use all of the functions of our website.

In addition, your browser transmits access data, so-called server log files, which we process each time you visit the website in order to be able to display the website to you. In particular, the time of your visit, the page from which you visit us (referrer URL), the subpages visited, your IP address, the data volume and the browser you use are transmitted to us. This data is required to ensure system security; we delete it after 3 days at the latest. The use is of legitimate interest to us (Art. 6. 1. (f) EU GDPR).

Contact form

You can contact us using the contact form provided on our website. If you do this, you must provide your first and last name, e-mail address and telephone number as well as your place of residence (postcode and city) and the country. You can also voluntarily indicate your company in the message area and write your query.

We process the personal data you provide and your message to us exclusively in order to process your enquiry as effectively as possible. We need all of the information requested to ensure that we can answer your request as best we can and protect ourselves from automatically generated requests (“robots”). We delete all or part of your data manually as soon as your enquiry is completed and there are no legal storage obligations, e.g. in the case of tax-relevant data that we have to store for 10 years. In general, we check every 2 years whether existing information is still required or can be deleted. All this is in our overriding, legitimate interest (Art. 6. 1. (f) EU GDPR).

If you have given your consent, we will also use your data to send you a feedback questionnaire two weeks after your request in order to ask you whether our answer helped you and what your experiences with our contact form were (Art. 6. 1. (a) EU GDPR). You can, of course, withdraw your consent at any time and without charge, as described below.

We do not pass your data on to third parties, unless it is absolutely necessary for the processing of your request.

YouTube, Facebook, Xing, Kununu

Through our website, you can click on various social media tools and view our information there or exchange information about our services with other users. These are YouTube, Facebook, Xing and Kununu. You can recognise these offers by the respective icons.

If you click on the links, your data will be transmitted to the respective provider, in particular, the page from which you were linked. This also applies if you do not have your own account with the respective provider or are not logged in.

We have no control over what personal data these third parties collect and how they handle it. Neither are we aware of this. Please note that some of these providers are based outside the EU and your data are therefore likely to be transferred to third countries for which an adequate level of data protection is not necessarily guaranteed. Further information on the handling of your data can be obtained from the respective third-party providers.

Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service of Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses cookies, which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyse how users use the site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. However, if IP anonymisation is activated on this website, Google will reduce your IP address beforehand within Member States of the European Union or in other states party to the European Economic Area Agreement. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide services associated with Internet use to the website operator.

The IP address transmitted by your browser in the context of Google Analytics is not merged with other Google data.

This website uses Google Analytics with the extension “_anonymizeIp()”. As a result, IP addresses are further processed in abbreviated form, so that a personal reference can be prevented. If the data collected about you contains a personal reference, this is immediately eliminated and the personal data is thus immediately deleted.

We use Google Analytics in order to be able to analyse and regularly improve the use of our website. The collected statistics allow us to improve our offer and make it more interesting for you as a user. For the exceptional cases in which personal data is transferred to the USA, Google has submitted to the EU-US Privacy Shield, https://www.privacyshield.gov/EU-US-Framework. The storage period for data is 38 months.

We only use Google Analytics after your express consent by confirming on the banner displayed during your visit (Art. 6. 1. (a) EU GDPR). Giving your consent is voluntary. You can also use the website without Google Analytics. You can withdraw your consent at any time and prevent the use of Google Analytics by clicking [HERE].

Analysis by wiredminds

Our website uses a counting pixel technology provided by wiredminds GmbH (www.wiredminds.de) to analyze visitor behavior. If necessary, data is collected, processed and stored, from which user profiles are created under a pseudonym. Wherever possible and reasonable, these usage profiles are completely anonymized. Cookies can be used for this purpose. Cookies are small text files that are stored in the visitor’s Internet browser and serve to recognize the Internet browser. The collected data, which may also contain personal data, will be transmitted to wiredminds or collected directly by wiredminds. wiredminds may use information that is left by visiting the websites to create anonymized usage profiles. The data obtained without explicit consent of the affected person will not be used to personally identify the visitor of this website and will not be merged with personal data of the bearer of the pseudonym. Whenever IP addresses are recorded, their immediate anonymization takes place by deleting the last number block.

Exclude from tracking.

Use of Google Adwords conversion tracking

Our website uses the online marketing program “Google AdWords”, including conversion tracking. Google conversion tracking is a service operated by Google Inc. (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA; “Google”). If you click on adverts placed by Google, a cookie is placed on your computer for conversion tracking. These cookies have limited validity, do not contain any personal data and thus cannot be used for personal identification. If you visit certain pages on our website and the cookie has not yet expired, we and Google can recognize that you have clicked on the advert and were forwarded to this page. Every Google AdWords customer receives a separate cookie. Therefore, it is not possible to track cookies relating to the websites of AdWords customers. The information collected using the conversion cookie serves the purpose of producing conversion statistics. This allows us to find out the total number of users who have clicked on our adverts and were forwarded to a page equipped with a conversion tracking tag. However, they do not receive any information, which could be used to personally identify users. Processing is carried out on the basis of art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR due to our justified interest in targeted marketing and analysis of the effectiveness and efficiency of this marketing.
You have the right to veto this processing of your personal data according to art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR by contacting us, for reasons relating to your personal situation. You can prevent the storage of cookies by choosing corresponding technical settings in your internet browser. We would, however, like to point out that this may prevent you from making full use of all the functions of this website. You will then not be included in the conversion tracking statistics. You can also deactivate personalized advertising in Google’s advertising settings. You can find an introduction to this at https://support.google.com/ads/answer/2662922 You can also deactivate the use of cookies by third parties by calling up the Network Advertising Initiative deactivation page at https://www.networkadvertising.org/choices/ and following the opt-out instructions. You will find more information as well as Google’s data protection declaration at: https://www.google.de/policies/privacy/

Data security

In order to protect your personal data in the best possible way, we use TLS encryption (https standard) technical and organisational security measures, which are correspondingly adapted to the latest technological developments in terms of risk.

Rights of the individuals concerned

If personal data relating to you as a natural person is used, you are entitled to various data protection claims against us. In accordance with § 34 BDSG, Art. 15 EU GDPR, you have the right to information about your stored personal data and its origin, the recipients or categories of recipients to whom data are passed on, and the purpose of storage.

In addition, if applicable, in accordance with § 35 BDSG, Art. 16 – 18 EU GDPR, you are entitled to have your personal data corrected, deleted or restricted (from processing). Furthermore, according to Art. 20 of the EU GDPR, you can request the transfer of data to another responsible body, e.g. to a new employer.

In addition, you can object to the further processing of your data for a specific reason if we process your data on the basis of a legitimate interest (Art. 6. 1. (f) EU GDPR). In the event of an objection, we will no longer process your personal data upon receipt during the subsequent verification and – in the event of a justified objection – delete it after completion of the verification (§ 36 BDSG, Art. 21 EU GDPR). You can withdraw your submitted consent to data processing at any time; we will then no longer process your personal data unless we have legal permission to do so. An objection or revocation does not affect the permissibility of data processing in the past.

Finally, according to Art. 77 of the EU GDPR, you have the right to complain to the competent data protection authority.

We will immediately honour your rights without charge. Please contact us or our data protection officer; you will find our contact details at the beginning of this data protection declaration.
