As a member of the Aalberts surface technologies family – formerly Impreglon – we are specialized in high-quality surface coatings. Our technically trained employees refine components for customers in various branches of industry in order to optimize their production or equip them for special requirements. The focus of our work is on sliding- non-stick, wear resistance, and chemical resistance coatings, with our TempCoat ®, PlasmaCoat® and MagnaCoat ®.

With individual solutions, we respond specifically to the needs of our customers. High quality and customer satisfaction are our top priorities. On-schedule delivery and adherence to agreements are a matter of course for us. Support with logistics and the storage of components on our extensive company premises are just as much a part of our service as the actual processing of the components.

PlasmaCoat® - wear resistance and great non-stick properties

The PlasmaCoat® method can combine the outstanding hardness and wear resistance of thermally sprayed metal or ceramic coatings with the non-stick and sliding properties of polymers (both fluorpolymers and other polymers). By choosing the right combination of plasma coating and polymer, we are able to achieve very good non-stick and/or traction characteristics.

A wide range of metallic and ceramic options means that PlasmaCoat® offers tailored solutions with different surface roughness and profiles in conjunction with the best possible polymer selection. PlasmaCoat® systems can also be used without the assistance of the ploymer where wear resistance or other specific properties are required.

  • Coating thickness: 40 µm to 150 µm
  • Surface roughness (Ra): 1.5 µm to 17.0 µm plus
  • Temperature range: -40 °C to +280 °C
  • Hardness: 28 to 70 HRc
TempCoat® - high quality polymer surface

The TempCoat® method creates a high quality ploymer surface. Aalberts surface technologies Beuningen applies PTFE, FEP, PFA and ECTFE (see MagnaCoat®). These coatings have excellent sliding, non-stick, release and dry lubrication properties and the TempCoat® process ensures that the coating is securely anchored to the base material (substrate). TempCoat® coatings can be applied to aluminum, castings, steel, stainless steel, ceramics, some copper alloys and with certain coating systems to carbon fibre as well as some plastics. This method is particularly well suited to applications requiring good sliding and non-stick properties as well as high resistance to wear.

  • Coating thickness: 10 µm to 100 µm
  • Surface roughness (Ra): down to 1.0 µm
  • Temperature range: -195 °C to +280 °C (and above for a few coatings)
MagnaCoat® - chemical resistance and non-stick properties

MagnaCoat® surfaces are heavy-duty fluoropolymer
coatings which can be applied so that they are pinhole free and hence they are
chemical resistant coatings. They can also offer good non-stick properties and some have high electrical and impact resistance, even at
elevated temperatures. The coatings provide excellent barrier protection
to resist aggressive chemicals and other sources of corrosion.

The MagnaCoat® range of coatings are probably the
best corrosion resistant coatings available. All aluminum, steel and stainless
steel materials as well as many other metallic substrates can be coated with
the MagnaCoat
® method.

  • Coating thickness: 100 µm to 800 µm
  • Surface roughness (Ra): down to 1.5 µm
  • Temperature range: -40 °C to +240 °C (depending on the coating chosen)
