Aalberts surface technologies Härkingen
about this location
The history of our company dates back to 1970, when Rotel Holding AG developed a thin-film hard metal coating with the aim of combining tribological properties and good corrosion protection. After continuous improvements, the process was patented in 1977. The patent rights were acquired in 1988 by Marco Santini, who initially founded the company Duralloy AG Switzerland. To this day, the company concentrates exclusively on the implementation of the DURALLOY® coating process, which produces extremely hard, crack-free, precise, very thin and high-purity chrome coatings.
In 2008, Aalberts N.V. took over the Duralloy Group. As part of the Aalberts surface technologies group, the plant generates 60% of its turnover in mechanical engineering and the remaining 40% in the medical, textile, printing and automotive industries.
our processes
In Härkingen, we have specialized in our DURALLOY® coating. This is an extremely hard, crack-free, precise, very thin and high-purity chrome coating for optimized friction processes. Due to the low process temperature, there is no change in the structure of the base material. This significant advantage ensures dimensional accuracy and rigidity.
Our core competence at Aalberts surface technologies in Härkingen is that we can coat almost any surface on any component using special covering and framing technology.
DURALLOY® coatings protect against pressure loads, poor lubrication, fretting corrosion and vibration-induced corrosion. The coatings withstand high temperatures as well as corrosion and wear. They also ensure low friction and dry lubrication.

industries we serve
DURALLOY® coatings are particularly suitable for linear guides or ball bearings. They are therefore increasingly used in linear and drive technology. However, they are also suitable for components that are exposed to aggressive gases (in mills, smelting works or defense technology).
