We are specialists in treating distortion-sensitive components. That means: more functionality & profitability for you!
We offer decades of experience from thousands of projects with a large, ultra-modern machinery and know-how transfer. We enable flexible utilization by working in three shifts. We can offer the pickup and return of the components to the customer with our own trucks.
“We see ourselves not only as a service provider, but also as a consultant and problem solver for our customers. A team of experienced employees is available in all departments to help with words and deeds.”
Ingo Segler, plant manager
In 1930 the company Bott was founded as a mechanical workshop by Mr. Wilhelm and Mrs. Johanna Bott. The hardening shop was established in 1946. Salt baths were first used for heat treatment. The first protective atmosphere furnace was purchased in 1969. Since the available space was no longer sufficient, the company moved to a newly built production hall in 1987. By 1998 the capacity was expanded to seven multi-purpose batch furnaces, four vacuum hardening furnaces, four nitriding furnaces, a burnishing plant, a phosphating plant and blasting capacities (glass beads and steel shot). The Dutch technology specialist Aalberts NV then acquired the hardening shop in 1998. In 2018 a new hall for outgoing goods was built and in 2019 a new production hall for the nitriding process was completed.
For over 90 years, our hardening shop in Gaildorf has not only been meeting its economic but also its social responsibility. The company has long serving and experienced employees and is also continuously offering apprenticeships to highly motivated trainees.
Our claim is to always deliver the highest quality. This applies both to the processing of your products and to dealing with our customers and the resulting holistic service that we offer you.
We understand quality as part of your satisfaction, which of course also includes compliance to deadlines, precision and reliability.
The heat treatment technology at location in Gaildorf is ISO and IATF certified. We pride ourselves in our optimal, reproducible quality standard, which we apply as a benchmark for series parts as well as for individual machine components.
As a service provider, we aim to do everything we can to increase the satisfaction and productivity of our customers.
Components treated by us are used in a wide range of applications. Our quality is evident in many components used throughout the automotive industry, e.g. from steering systems through to critical safety components. Our reliability is equally evident in mechanical engineering, wind turbines and machine tools.
We offer all types of heat treatment processes. Our facilities are closely interlinked in terms of logistics, which means that all processes are available to you. For a complete list and description of heat treatment technologies please select the button.
Hot isostatic pressing (HIP) is used to eliminate porosity. Do you need high mechanical durability and insensitivity to high temperatures for solder joints? We at Aalberts surface technologies offer the solution through brazing.
Polymer coatings can be applied to a wide variety of base materials and offer long-lasting protection. They are particularly well anchored mechanically to the substrate. Additional enhancement layers allow non-stick coatings to be combined with improved sliding properties and/or high wear resistance.
With 40 years of experience in continuous reel to reel finishing, you can depend on Aalberts surface technologies to find innovative solutions that other companies might say are impossible. Our service includes barrel plating, continuous selective plating and rack plating.
Almost all metallic base materials can have their properties optimised by surface coatings using our proprietary and patented processes, regardless of whether they should be particularly hard, smooth, wear-resistant or corrosion-resistant.
